Feel like a top dog in this attractive stone cottage set in its own grounds within the Northumberland National Park. The light and airy interiors are spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished to leave you and your friends or family sitting in the lap of luxury. And up to three canine companions can join in the holiday fun, too! Enjoy walks right from the door, taking the time to stop and listen to the sounds of nature as you recharge your batteries and make memories with your nearest and dearest.

Peace and tranquillity are the order of the day at this former miller’s cottage set in the stunning College Valley. It’s brilliant for spotting wildlife, flora and fauna. Kick back in the beamed lounge with the French doors open to let the breeze in or if it’s cooler, light the wood burner for a snuggly feel. There’s another beamed snug room with a double sofa bed and a small table. The large and modern country kitchen has space galore plus a range. Discuss your day over dinner at the table in the dining area, outside or in the snug. Upstairs (out of bounds for hounds), pick between the generous king-size and twin bedrooms. Both have vaulted and beamed ceilings and co-ordinating wooden furnishings for a chic and relaxing feel. Dogs and humans alike will love spending time in the large, enclosed garden with outdoor furniture, a patio and a BBQ.

Walking routes abound keeping active types on two and four legs happy. Lead the way to adventure on the 3.5-mile walk to Yeavering Bell Hill Fort which affords terrific Cheviots views. Discover the historic market town of Wooler (8 miles) with its shops, eateries and takeaways. Enjoy stargazing by night thanks to the dark skies around here.

We really enjoyed our week at the cottage it was very peaceful and the dog loved it also. We didn't use the two kennels on site but it was useful to have them if we needed them. Would book again

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting. Everything you would need in the kitchen, but take your own consumables as theres only salt and pepper and a small amount of tea and coffee.

Absolutely perfect. The most peaceful, tranquil Christmas we have ever had. The christmas tree and gifts were a nice and welcome surprise on arrival. The Mill was spotless on arrival and very warm and welcoming after long walks in the beautiful surrounding area. We loved every minute and will book again soon.

Our fifth stay in the valley, this is such an amazingly quiet and peaceful location. The Mill was spotlessly clean on arrival. Its well stocked and equipped. We walked straight up into the Cheviot Hills and had them almost to ourselves. We stayed during a very cold snap with snow but the Mill was very warm. The log burner a godsend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a really relaxing time. It is a beautiful cottage in a stunningly peaceful location and we loved seeing the sheep and their lambs wandering past. Really well equipped cottage especially the kitchen, and lots of cushions for comfort. Wifi was very good. Cottage was really clean when we arrived

A beautiful, rural cottage which was so peaceful and a delight to stay in. Cottage was very clean on arrival, very well stocked with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Hepple Mill Cottage is in a truly delightful location away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The walks from the door are wonderful and it was perfect for our dog with good spaces for him to dry off if he got wet. The cottage was so clean, the decoration perfect, the beds were heavenly, the linen & towels just wonderful. We really couldn't have wished for anything better. I've now been to Hethpool at least 5 times & the cottage never disappoints - well done to all concerned.

Absolutely amazing location if you are looking for a remote cottage with breathtaking walks straight from the door. Fully enclosed garden was superb for our two dogs to carry out there patrols. This cottage is delightfully situated close to a range of paths, including the St Cuthbert's Way. We enjoyed birdsong wherever we walked, saw many raptors, wild goats, hares and a wide range of invertebrates. Nature thrives here!

Wonderful warm & cozy cottage in a remote location. Beds very comfy. Plentiful supply of logs for the burner. Main bathroom upstairs is shared between the 2 rooms. The other bathroom is downstairs.
