This beautiful property, situated in the heart of the stunning town of Southwold, is perfect for you and your guests - including the four-legged one! Sleeping three across two peaceful bedrooms, this pretty cottage is a wonderful seaside retreat for a small family to explore the Suffolk coast. Head off for walkies across the River Blyth to Walberswick (1.5 miles on foot) and explore the unspoilt coastline, or simply wander the streets of Southwold and its boutique shops and cafes - many of which will welcome your pup.
The cottage, which is less than 100 metres from the renowned Adnams Brewery, is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is bright and airy with rooflights and large doors to the garden, while exposed beams and a wood burner in the living room make it a cosy haven to relax in, the pup curled up by the fire. At bedtime, climb the winding staircase to the bedrooms; both have calming, neutral decor with little coastal touches that remind you of the seaside town you’re staying in. In the morning, wake up with your first coffee of the day in the pretty courtyard garden surrounded by established plants and flowers.
Make sure you head down to Southwold Beach (0.5 miles) and see the rows of colourful beach huts - if you’re visiting between October and April, your canine companion can join you along the entire stretch. Don’t forget to check out the Under the Pier Show! Let your pup sniff out the best washed-up sticks all year round at Sizewell Beach (15.5 miles). Take a ride on an old bus or tram at the East Anglia Transport Museum (10.5 miles) or enjoy the handful of dog-friendly galleries and a bite to eat at Snape Maltings (19 miles).
