This quaint terraced cottage is comfortable and well-appointed. Family life works well in the open-plan lounge/diner with cosy sofas and an inglenook now housing a wood burner-effect electric fire. French doors open to the garden to let the breeze in and your inquisitive pooches out for a sniff about. The modern fitted kitchen serves your self-catering endeavours. Bathe in warmth and light in the conservatory with floor-to-ceiling windows, armchairs and another table. Upstairs, pick between one spacious double and one twin bedroom, both en-suite with fab sea views and characterful sloping ceilings. The enclosed garden has pretty planting, furniture and a lawn.
With the beach so near and easy to get to, guests are bound to have a ball. But for forays further afield, the Northumberland Coast Path is an easy option that will be popular with four-legged chums. It’s 62 miles in total, split into six stages but you can go as far as you want. Head 2 miles north to the bustling harbour town of Amble or south to Druridge Bay (5 miles) passing through Druridge Pools on the way (dogs on leads here please!) to admire this wetland’s bird life including waders. Pretty Alnwick is 11.5 miles with its iconic castle and independent shops and places to eat.
