Enjoy a holiday in this two-bed cottage in an excellent coastal location in Low Hauxley. It’s ideally suited for a romantic retreat or a small family for having a blast and creating forever memories. And don''t forget up to two canine chums are welcome too, which is just a dream with the quiet, sandy beach within 100 metres. Watch your canines frolic in the water and admire the beautiful Northumberland scenery. The charming cottage artfully combines period and character features with modern conveniences and comfort.

This quaint terraced cottage is comfortable and well-appointed. Family life works well in the open-plan lounge/diner with cosy sofas and an inglenook now housing a wood burner-effect electric fire. French doors open to the garden to let the breeze in and your inquisitive pooches out for a sniff about. The modern fitted kitchen serves your self-catering endeavours. Bathe in warmth and light in the conservatory with floor-to-ceiling windows, armchairs and another table. Upstairs, pick between one spacious double and one twin bedroom, both en-suite with fab sea views and characterful sloping ceilings. The enclosed garden has pretty planting, furniture and a lawn.

With the beach so near and easy to get to, guests are bound to have a ball. But for forays further afield, the Northumberland Coast Path is an easy option that will be popular with four-legged chums. It’s 62 miles in total, split into six stages but you can go as far as you want. Head 2 miles north to the bustling harbour town of Amble or south to Druridge Bay (5 miles) passing through Druridge Pools on the way (dogs on leads here please!) to admire this wetland’s bird life including waders. Pretty Alnwick is 11.5 miles with its iconic castle and independent shops and places to eat.

The cottage is in a fantastic, quiet location on the coastal path, only a few metres from the lovely sandy beach. The house is charming and delightful and bigger than it appears. The location is great. Right by the beach which was deserted most days and great for dogs however be mindful that there is a slope down to the beach which can be awkward due to its nature. However there is a rope which was great and made the access easier and safer. The front garden Read morealthough enclosed is right on a path with lots of passerbys and the gate is a bit stiff and a little low. It isnt a problem if you dont have a Houdini dog ! The bedrooms are accessed by stairs that are not steep and are a great size. Beds and shower are good. Kitchen well stocked and has everything you need. The local supermarket is a few minutes drive away but I booked a delivery which was very handy. It is easy to get out and about to places as Amble is a short drive away. I was very impressed with the cottage and the communication we received prior to our holiday and would definitely return and recommend. Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beach View Cottage. It was our first time staying near Amble, having previously spent many holidays slightly further up the coast, and it didn't disappoint. The walk into Amble along the beach and coastal path is really lovely and Amble itself is has plenty to offer in the way of cafes, restaurants and shops. The cRead moreottage is very cosy and has a lovely home-from-home feel. We felt our holiday was excellent value for money as the cottage was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Low Hauxley is a peaceful little village and the beach, although not as stunning as some of the beaches in Northumberland, is very quiet and just a few yards from the cottage - just perfect for our two cockapoos! We will definitely be back. Hide

Probably the nicest holiday rental we have stayed in. The location could not be better - our dog loved being a couple of minutes from the beach as much as we did. The house is spacious and very well equipped, comfortable sofas, comfortable beds and lovely old chests and cupboards which adds to this old house's character. Like many old houses thisRead more one has many nooks and crannies, intriguing apothecary's drawers, and well-stocked bookcases. This is a very cosy, warm cottage in a lovely location. Our two dogs loved their morning walks on the nearby beach. Comfortable beds and lovely big towels were provided. The cottage is in a great location for visiting local beaches, castles etc. it could do with a little TLC in parts, particularly the kitchen but otherwise, recommended.

The most beautiful house with so many original pieces of furniture.
