Property code: OC-ASHB

This large home in the village of Braunton, just 3 miles away from North Devon’s stunning coastline, can accommodate up to six people in three bedrooms, with two dogs welcome. It is an upside-down style property, so you can take full advantage of the far-reaching views across the village and to the coast in the distance during the day.

On the first floor, the large lounge features a wood burner for chillier nights, where dogs are sure to curl up as you gaze out at the view through the patio doors. The open-plan kitchen/diner has triple aspect windows so you can appreciate the view while cooking too. One of the bathrooms with a bath and a shower cubicle is on the upper floor. On the ground floor are the three bedrooms. The master has a king-size bed and large glass doors which open onto a patio. The other two bedrooms are twin rooms, one of which has zip-and-link beds that can be converted to a king-size upon request. The downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower. In terms of outdoor space, the upstairs balcony has a dining table and chairs, offering the most spectacular views. The downstairs patio has seating too, and a path leads to an enclosed pebbled area and further seating. The property’s garage is great for large sporting equipment, and houses a utility area - perfect for towelling down dogs.

One of the area’s most loved spots are the huge dunes at Braunton Burrows, but Saunton Sands is also popular with families and surfers. Dogs are never short of a dramatic walk or two across the clifftops. Braunton offers a choice of cafes, restaurants and shops, and don’t miss The Museum of British Surfing. Nearby Barnstaple (12.5 miles) and Ilfracombe (7.5 miles) offer even more opportunities for shopping and attractions including theatres and cinemas.

Superbly comfortable and extremely well equipped, particularly in the kitchen equipment supplied. Its in a great location for easy walking into Braunton for coffee and eating out. There are also numerous footpaths accessible straight from the cottage. We loved the generous welcome pack, including the doggy gifts for our furry pal. Amazing views and a very comfortable well equipped house. Would definitely stay again. Access is a narrow lane and parking is tight, but the lane is very quiet.
