An ideal country getaway, the brick-and-flint house dates back to the 19th century and offers elegant accommodation for up to nine guests. There’s also ample space for a four-legged companion to join you in exploring the area’s breathtaking countryside. Featuring timber beams, an impressive dining hall, a walled garden and a light-filled sunroom, this is a wonderful destination for marking a special occasion.

The house offers a cosy main lounge leading through to a quiet study, providing plenty of space for everyone to unwind. At the heart of the house is the impressive dining hall with a handsome dining table and open fireplace, perfect for getting together for a celebratory meal. There’s a spacious, stylishly designed kitchen with a handy breakfast table leading over to a light-filled garden room with a lantern roof. The ground floor also has a pretty triple bedroom. Upstairs, the beautiful galleried landing has comfortable seating and a beamed, vaulted ceiling. There are three fresh, colourful king-size bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities, alongside a stylish family bathroom. Outside, the pretty front garden features a large lawn and a terrace with outdoor furniture and a built-in brick BBQ. The enclosed back garden has a sun terrace and a raised lawn with ample space for your canine companion to exercise.

The historic market town of King’s Lynn (13.5 miles) has some cheerful dog-welcoming places to eat and drink, or you can enjoy long walks with your pet on the Sandringham Estate and the grounds of Raynham Hall (both within 9 miles). Dogs can also accompany you at Castle Rising (8.5 miles) and Old Hunstanton Beach (15 miles).

St Lawrence House is an extremely beautiful, comfortable and well appointed property ideal for a family break. The information from Original Cottages was excellent and I would book again with the company without hesitation if they covered other areas of uk.

The house was presented very well. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Such good value for money, the little touches like hand wash, toilet and kitchen rolls, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets were all very appreciated. Beds were so comfy and the house was lovely and warm. Thank you
