For families and up to two furry friends, this comfortable cottage is the ideal home-from-home while enjoying a break in the beautiful Llyn Peninsula. Hairy hounds will love sniffing the fields and woodlands of the well-maintained farm estate, and you can all blow the cobwebs away on the dog-friendly beach of nearby Llanbedrog.
Enjoy a rural getaway in this comfortable cottage with characterful high, sloping ceilings and exposed original beams. Set all on one level, it has a pretty lounge/diner with lots of comfortable seating around a log-effect electric fire and an oak dining table and chairs, plus a country-style kitchen with integrated appliances and plenty of worktop and storage space. The elegant double bedroom has an en-suite cloakroom, and there is also a bunk room for two plus an airy single bedroom with a door leading to the patio. The three bedrooms share a family shower room. The private patio to the rear of the cottage has outdoor furniture, a BBQ and views over the walled garden, and there are a further 75 acres of gardens, fields and woodland for you to explore with your canine companions trotting at your heels.
Build sandcastles and play fetch on the sands of Llanbedrog’s National Trust beach (pups on leads in the summer months until past the beach huts, please) – it’s less than 2 miles along a footpath from the cottage. Heading further afield, there’s much to enjoy in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, from beaches and bays to wildlife and water sports. Bustling Abersoch (4.5 miles) is always a draw, while Pwllheli (5.5 miles) is famous for its Wednesday market and Hell’s Mouth Beach (6 miles) has big waves beloved by surfers (and is dog friendly all year).
