This rural escape is perfect for families and up to two four-pawed companions, all of whom will enjoy exploring the farm estate on which the cottage is located. Close to the picturesque village of Llanbedrog, this is a great place for tail-wagging walkies around the coast and countryside of the Llyn Peninsula.
Combining old with new, this former pig sty has been transformed into a welcoming space for adults, children and furry friends alike, with high, sloping ceilings and original beams that add heaps of character. In the open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen, the space flows from a comfortable seating area to a sociable dining space and into the country-style kitchen, which features integrated appliances and a breakfast bar for two. All on the same level, there’s a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, plus a twin room and a bunk-bed room for four that share a second, separate shower room. Outside, the private patio with a BBQ and outdoor furniture is a lovely place for an evening meal alfresco, and there are also 75 acres of well-maintained shared grounds, including gardens, fields and woodland, in which you can wander.
When you have finished exploring the tranquil estate, the sheltered beach at Llanbedrog is less than 2 miles along a footpath. Youngsters will enjoy building sandcastles while pups can play in the surf all year round, just needing to be kept on a lead in the summer months until past the beach huts. Other places to explore nearby include bustling Abersoch, 4.5 miles away; Pwllheli, 5.5 miles away, where there’s a renowned Wednesday market; Hell’s Mouth Beach, 6 miles away, loved by surfers (and dog friendly all year); and Morfa Nefyn, 7.5 miles away, famous for its beachside pub, the Ty Coch Inn.
