This traditional Cornish cottage is in St Ives’ picturesque old fishing quarter, less than 200 metres from the woof-friendly Bamaluz Beach. The property sleeps five guests and two waggy-tailed companions, making it ideal for both families and groups of friends looking for a relaxing seaside getaway. You’ll also be just 200 metres from the town’s bustling harbour, with its fantastic array of local restaurants. The sociable property has a large lounge and a spacious kitchen/diner for entertaining.
The bright and airy former fisherman’s cottage is full of charm, with beautiful, exposed stonework and beamed ceilings. The welcoming lounge has plump sofas arranged around a wood burner-effect gas fire, providing the perfect place to snuggle up after a long coastal walk with the hounds. There’s also ample space for Rover and Fido to set up camp. The sociable, country-style kitchen/diner has everything you need to whip up tasty feasts, to enjoy together around the cute dining table. Upstairs, three charming bedrooms await, along with a large family bathroom. There is no outside space, but with the beach less than 200 metres away, it’s easy to enjoy a pre-breakfast stroll along the shore with your hairy sidekicks.
The property is located in the Downalong area of St Ives, and you’ll be surrounded by a fabulous selection of independent boutiques, studios, and galleries, many of which welcome four-pawed visitors. It’s the ideal place to pick up a little memento from your trip. If you fancy getting out on the water, you and the pups can hop on a boat trip from the harbour to explore St Ives Bay or journey to Seal Island for the day. The South West Coast Path passes through the town, meaning you’ll have mile upon mile of dramatic clifftop tracks to explore during your stay.
