Property code: OC-BWRNEP

The quaint holiday home is in the heart of St Ives’ old fishing quarter, surrounded by cobbled streets and whitewashed cottages. The property sleeps four adults, two children, and one hound, and is ideal for family get-togethers and holidays with friends. A 200-metre stroll brings you to the paw-friendly Bamaluz Beach, and you can also enjoy walks along the South West Coast Path, which passes through the town.

A few steps lead to the stone cottage, which is set across three levels. The property has been sensitively decorated, combining contemporary design with original features. The welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner is on the ground floor, and has stunning exposed stonework, vibrant soft furnishings, and a rug for the hound to curl up on after a long walk. Rustle up tasty meals in the sleek kitchen area, to enjoy together around the dining table. Two double bedrooms, along with the family bathroom, are on the first floor and, in the eaves of the second floor, you’ll find the twin bedroom. Due to the restricted head height, this bedroom is only suitable for children. There is a small courtyard with a bistro set to the front of the property, where you and the pup can sit and watch the world go by.

St Ives’ Downalong area is bursting with cute boutiques and galleries to investigate with your four-pawed pal. The area backs onto the picturesque harbour, where you’ll find a great selection of eateries, many serving fresh seafood. It’s the perfect place to unwind on a balmy evening, taking in one of St Ives’ iconic sunsets. Alternatively, pick up a bag of fish and chips and wander down to one of the town’s sandy beaches. In summer, furry beachgoers are welcome after 6pm, which is the perfect time to visit, after the crowds have dispersed.

  • 3 bedrooms – 2 doubles, 1 twin (suitable for children only)
  • 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC
  • Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher

  • Please note: Sloping ceilings and restricted head height in second-floor bedroom

We loved Neptune cottage, it was the perfect location for our weeks stay in St. Ives, and very generously sized compared to other cottages in the town. The house was clean, modern and very comfortable. The living space is super convenient and sociable, and the beds are very comfortable. Neptune Cottage is ideally placed for a comfortable family holiday just metres from the Porthgwidden beach. Well equipped. Steep steps up into the cottage might not suit pushchairs or mobility restraints. Two good doubles and twin beds in the attic.

Weve been to Neptune cottage 3 times now- its good value for money, a fantastic location with very close access to our favourite beaches as well as shops and restaurants. We love having a tiny sunny outside area at the front plus a sea-glimpse from 2 of the bedrooms.

Clean accommodation in a location close to parking and beach access for an early swim. In December with an easterly wind, the gaps in the front door provided an unwelcomely cold entry to the property and hall/stair area and even with the heating on max the whole ground floor felt chilled. Heat rises and the 1st floor bedrooms were more comfortablRead moree although the attic bedroom remained uncomfortably chilled. Although the 1st floor bedrooms felt warmer than below, it was not possible to open the front bedroom window to obtain any fresh air as it was sealed with paint. Hot water pressure in the bathroom was poor as was the electric shower unit. Overall an OK property worthy of 6/10 Hide

There is a bit of rust around the plug hole in the bath. Maybe a repair on that, would improve the feel of the bathroom.

Very cozy and comfortable, great location. Only a few minutes walk to any beach. The cottage has everything you need for your stay. Long stay parking is just round the corner. It was perfect.

Amazing location, very cosy, shame it's above another property as we were really quiet but the people in the property below complained about the noise level as wooden floors and appears to be no sound proofing at all.

The cottage is very well positioned for the town, carpark and beaches. Lovely cottage perfect for a stay in St Ives but it needs a few tweeks, Out of season you can park in the Island carpark but after that it can be more difficult to park and then the nearest carpark is Barnoon.
