The quaint holiday home is in the heart of St Ives’ old fishing quarter, surrounded by cobbled streets and whitewashed cottages. The property sleeps four adults, two children, and one hound, and is ideal for family get-togethers and holidays with friends. A 200-metre stroll brings you to the paw-friendly Bamaluz Beach, and you can also enjoy walks along the South West Coast Path, which passes through the town.
A few steps lead to the stone cottage, which is set across three levels. The property has been sensitively decorated, combining contemporary design with original features. The welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner is on the ground floor, and has stunning exposed stonework, vibrant soft furnishings, and a rug for the hound to curl up on after a long walk. Rustle up tasty meals in the sleek kitchen area, to enjoy together around the dining table. Two double bedrooms, along with the family bathroom, are on the first floor and, in the eaves of the second floor, you’ll find the twin bedroom. Due to the restricted head height, this bedroom is only suitable for children. There is a small courtyard with a bistro set to the front of the property, where you and the pup can sit and watch the world go by.
St Ives’ Downalong area is bursting with cute boutiques and galleries to investigate with your four-pawed pal. The area backs onto the picturesque harbour, where you’ll find a great selection of eateries, many serving fresh seafood. It’s the perfect place to unwind on a balmy evening, taking in one of St Ives’ iconic sunsets. Alternatively, pick up a bag of fish and chips and wander down to one of the town’s sandy beaches. In summer, furry beachgoers are welcome after 6pm, which is the perfect time to visit, after the crowds have dispersed.
