Property code: OC-TANSON

Enjoy fabulous views out to sea overlooking the picturesque harbour alongside friends, family and your canine companion at this exceptional end-of-terrace property. Spend your days frolicking with Fido on wonderful beaches, sniffing out adventure along the South West Coast Path and having a ball in brilliant Porthleven.

Finished to a very high standard throughout, this contemporary home is bright, breezy and welcoming. On the ground floor, there is a modern, well-equipped open-plan kitchen that leads through to the dining area with plenty of space for a family game or a shared meal. The living room is to the front of the property with a large bay window to make the most of the stunning scenery and beyond. Tastefully decorated with attractive soft furnishings and artwork, there are comfy sofas and a window seat with far-reaching ocean views. Also on this floor is a lovely bathroom with a luxurious deep roll-top bath for soaking tired legs at the end of the day. French doors lead from the kitchen to the side patio, where the outside shower is perfect for washing down sandy children, wetsuits and dogs. On the first floor you will find the elegant master bedroom. This beautifully positioned, large room features dual-aspect windows and a generous window seat, providing you with front-row views across the harbour, out to sea and towards Porthleven’s iconic clock tower. The rest of the sleeping accommodation and a stylish shower room are also on this first floor, with one, comfortable twin room and a delightful single bedroom. To the front of the property is an elevated terrace with a table and chairs where you can relax and enjoy a sundowner whilst Rover safely explores the enclosed boundaries.

You don’t have to travel for a day at the beach with the village’s golden sands less than 200 metres from your door. At low tide, Porthleven Beach extends for 3 miles to Gunwalloe. There is a seasonal dog restriction in July and August from 10am to 6pm on the section of Porthleven Beach directly in front of the village. Either wait until the tide has dropped and head east along the beach with the hound or stroll the coast path to Looe Bar Beach, just over a mile away, for year-round unrestricted doggie access. Home to a small fishing fleet, Porthleven has some fantastic seafood restaurants to sample, as well as numerous local pubs and charming cafes where Rover will often find a warm welcome and a biscuit or a bowl of water waiting upon arrival.

The Anson is a fantastic property with the most amazing view out over the harbour and the sea. It is spacious and roomy for 6 people. We had such a fabulous holiday enjoying the house and all that Porthleven has to offer. We hope to return soon.

Comfortable, well equipped cottage in possibly the best location in Pothleven. Had to force ourselves away from the terrace each day and could have easily spent the week sat just there watching the life of the harbour. Very pleasant lounge as well, for when the weather closes in.

Cottage is in a lovely position overlooking the harbour but the inside would definitely benefit from a refurbishment.

Local food places and pubs, shops etc were all a stones throw away from the property, we never left the harbour there was no reason too. The beautiful shingle sand beach was a 5 min walk from the house to sit and watch the world go by. The Harbor was so clean and tidy, friendly locals too. The sea is so clear you could see the bottom of the harbour when the tide went out. It was very dog friendly with the enclosed front patio, our dog loved watching everything that was going on. Hide

You couldnt find a more beautiful view anywhere in Cornwall . We had the best time sitting on our patio watching the comings and goings in the harbour below. Already booked for next year.

The location is fantastic, right on the harbour with excellent views, and with the convenience of parking on the side of the harbour below. The 30 steps up to the cottage would be tricky for the elderly, but that extra elevation made the views better. The level of equipment is great, better than anticipated.
