Overlooking the sea at Cobbolds Point in Felixstowe, this Edwardian mansion arranged over three floors is the ultimate seaside getaway. Boasting a swimming pool, sauna, cinema room, and access to the seafront with miles of golden sand, your canine companion will go mutts for this luxurious retreat.

After exploring the surrounding private estate, no better remedy for weary walking muscles and paws is the choice of cosy seating areas on the ground floor; the light-filled day room boasts a flame-effect gas fire that your pup won’t be able to resist dozing beside. And the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room offers lots of sunny spots for your pup to bask in, as well as a contemporary kitchen and generous dining table. If you’re not ready for bed, have a ball in the snooker room or enjoy the latest blockbuster in the cinema room. As day turns to dusk, you have seven characterful bedrooms across the first and second floors to enjoy a good night’s sleep. Unleash your four-legged friend into the expansive landscaped gardens to sniff around the lawn or accompany you down the sloped bank to the seafront. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool and a sauna to enjoy.

The largest seaside town in Suffolk, Felixstowe boasts a 4-mile stretch of golden sand, perfectly kept seafront gardens and a range of restaurants, cafes and traditional seaside amusements. We enjoyed a 4 night stay at Latimer House, we all would have loved our multi-generational break to have been longer! The house is Beautifully decorated, well equipped and spacious with stunning outlook across the infinity lawn to the sea. A moments walk down steps to the shingle beach and a walk to Felixstowe pier. A short drive to the Port of FelRead moreixstowe where we saw the infamous Ever Given container ship being unloaded! We hope to return and would highly recommend a stay at Latimer House. The housekeeper kept us well informed and did a fab job of ensuring everything was perfect for our arrival. Hide

A beautiful house, beautifully furnished with quality equipment. The house is in a superb position overlooking the sea from the house and large garden. Perfect for families and friends alike. I would so recommend staying at Latimer House, although costly you can see why and I thought worth every penny.

I cant find the words to adequately describe the amazing Latimer House! I celebrated my 70th birthday with close family and we all had the most wonderful time, a weekend full of fabulous memories. The house is more than 5 star, luxury all the way, with a beautiful pool, games room and movie room. There was even a stunning day room, which looked outRead more to the garden and sea beyond and where I could retreat with a glass of bubbly and a book. The location is perfect, within walking distance of a few shops and take-always in one direction or the beach and promenade in the other. The lovely Fludyers Hotel is just a few minutes away, where we enjoyed Sunday lunch and breakfast on Monday. With ages ranging from two to seventy, there was something for everyone at Latimer House. One of the best times of my life, I cant recommend it enough. Hide

A beautifully restored and marvellously equipped Edwardian mansion on the cliff at Old Felixstowe. Has the "Wow" factor from the moment you go through the entrance gates. Latimer House for us was the best equipped, spacious and most comfortable home for sharing with family, friends and a dog that we have ever stayed in. We started to relax and have fun from the minute we put our bags down in the wonderful array of bedrooms. Every one of the bedrooms was special so no arguments as to who had what room. Grandpa is nRead moreow tasked with replicating the individual lighting system that was installed above each of the children's bunk beds! The views from the back of the house and indoor pool into the secluded secure garden with the sea beyond just couldn't be beaten. Other than a daily walk along the sea front in either direction we had no inclination to leave this wonderful house as it offers so much for all ages and interests. A very special place to make very special memories. Hide
