Drink in the panoramic country views from the elevated lounge of this beautifully converted miner’s cottage, which welcomes families plus a small dog. Located on the edge of Abersoch, it’s a great base for exploring the Llyn Peninsula’s picturesque villages and inviting beaches.
With a fresh and airy, retro/modern style, the cottage is immediately welcoming, with an ‘upside-down’ style that means the incredible views can be appreciated from all areas of its first-floor lounge/kitchen/diner. Sit comfortably by the floor-to-ceiling windows or curl up by the wood burner, your four-pawed friend snoozing at your feet. At the far end of the oak-floored, open-plan space there’s a well-designed kitchen, and a dining table sits sociably in between. There’s a single bedroom on this floor, as well as a WC with a rural ‘view from the loo’. Downstairs, you’ll find a double and a twin bedroom, the latter with a fridge and French doors leading to a small rear patio. The three bedrooms share a stylish and spacious bathroom. In the lawned garden outside, set on two levels and ideal for sniffing, ball fetching and tail chasing, there’s a shed filled with beach items for your use as well as a BBQ and dining table and chairs.
In a peaceful, rural setting, the cottage is conveniently close to the bustling seaside village of Abersoch and just a mile from its three beaches. The main beach is the most popular, offering all kinds of water sports, including sailing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. From October to March, Fido is free to roam the entire beach, while in summer, there’s a specific section for dogs to stick to. In less than 2 miles, you can be at the cosy family- and dog-friendly Sun Inn in Llanengan for a delicious lunch.
