Situated in the magnificent Broads Country Park just 2 miles from the attractive market town of Acle, this charming two-storey barn is the perfect retreat for a small family or two active couples and their dogs. Surrounded by scenic river walks and wildlife and offering open-plan living areas within its interior, it is a convenient base to explore both the coast and the countryside.

The barn has a welcoming ambience thanks to its fresh, seamless layout covered in plenty of natural light. Get together as a group in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner throughout the day, whether for a long lunch, celebratory dinner or an evening film. A king-size bedroom and a separate shower room stand just off this area, while a twin bedroom and separate bathroom occupy the first floor. You can start or conclude long days in the enclosed courtyard garden with refreshments to hand, allowing the dogs to roam in and out of the lounge via the French doors at their leisure.

Immerse yourselves in village life in Upton (within 700 metres) during long riverside walks or while savouring a well-deserved pint in one of its pubs after a boat trip down the River Bure. We have just returned from a lovely week at 19 The Green . The property was very dog friendly and there were treats, blankets and dog bowls for the dog when we arrived. The property was very clean and had everything you need for a relaxing time away. The property is in a great location to explore the local area and the Norfolk Broads. The villagRead moree of Upton is very pretty and quiet, and has a friendly community pub and shop at the bottom of the road which serves good food and takeaway with a varied selection of beers . It also holds regular entertainment weekends. The owners of the cottage were easily contactable and helpful. We hope to return sometime in the future. Hide

Fantastic location for walks in the beautiful surroundings nearby. Very dog friendly property that is well equipped and clean. Owner was also local, caring, knowledgable about the area and communicated very well. Local community run pub is a must and we are so looking forward to our return visit.

Excellent location with lovely local community owned pub 5 minutes walk, excellent food, helpful staff and interesting beers. Several local walks starting from the village and a great location to explore the broads on foot or by car. The little patio area is a sun trap and ideal to enjoy a morning coffee or chill with a glass of wine later in the dRead moreay. The village is well kept and has lots of beautiful gardens and the community run shop next to the pub was well stocked and run by friendly staff. Having two bathrooms worked out extra handy when our friends came to stay. We had a lovely time, excellent weather and lots to do. Throughly recommended . Hide
