A quirky, fun, and luxurious house close to Fistral Beach and not far from the hubbub of central Newquay, this amazing art deco house has bags of room for a large group of friends or family. It’s got awesome sea views, a huge balcony, a lawned garden, five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and up to three furry family members are welcome too.
If the house looks familiar, it’s because you’ve seen it before on George Clarke''s Old House, New Home on TV! It’s a unique space with five bedrooms, one of which is in a self-contained annexe with its own wet room, kitchenette, TV, and lounge area. That bedroom and two in the main house are king-size rooms, there’s also a twin (which can be made up as a super-king) and a bunk room. The living space, which comprises the lounge, kitchen and diner, is incredible, with massive doors that open onto the balcony offering breathtaking views of the beach. There’s also a warming wood burner and a large dining table for all ten guests which looks out through the large sliding doors. A bathroom and an en-suite wet room complete this Art Deco property.
Fistral Beach is just over 150 metres away (it’s canine-friendly all year round) and there are no less than 11 beaches to choose from in the area – heaven if you like surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, fishing, sunbathing and rockpooling. The centre of Newquay is about 1 mile away from the house with lots of cool shops and places to eat out. Trenance Gardens and Leisure Park, incorporating 26 acres of lush countryside, is 2 miles away, where you can visit the zoo or hire rowing boats to take out on the lake. For a family day out, head to Perranporth, 9.5 miles away, to visit the Iron Age fort and museum or explore the area on foot with your trusty dog by your side along the stunning South West Coast Path which passes close by.
