Two favourite four-legged friends are invited to this wonderfully presented coastal cottage, close to Sheringham’s stunning beach, that makes a wonderful base for a small family or group of friends for an active holiday exploring the stunning Norfolk coast. There’s plenty to do in Sheringham, from seaside walks past colourful beach huts to the intimate theatre and buzzing high street. Sheringham beach has restrictions for dogs during the summer months but a short walk (4 miles) down the coast is Weybourne pebble beach which welcomes four paws all year round.
An inviting bungalow with a light, bright and spacious interior, this single-storey property has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Colourful furnishings and coastal themed artwork on the walls create a homely feel. In the large living room, sink into the comfortable sofas with your pups at your feet while you watch the TV or warm your toes in front of the lit wood burner on chilly evenings. The large kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook up a storm at mealtimes, and it has a breakfast bar to keep the area social while you prepare your favourite dishes. Dine at table with plenty of natural light flooding through the window and catch up on the day’s adventures. When it is time to sleep head along the hallway, where there’s a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom and a family bathroom. Outside a small courtyard patio with a table, chairs make a perfect spot for a morning coffee and there is a BBQ for entertaining and al fresco dining in the warmer months.
Led your pup lead you along the coastal path to Cromer (5 miles) or visit the National Trust’s Sheringham Park (2 miles) for woodland walks and coastal views. Alternatively, set tails wagging with a trip on the Poppy Line, a heritage steam railway that runs to nearby Holt (6 miles) where you can also visit Holt Park (8 miles). Or explore the beautiful sandy beaches, walks and wildlife along the coast road to Wells-next-the-Sea (17 miles).
