Unwind in a traditional and characterful cottage in the tranquil seaside town of Aldeburgh in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Recharge your batteries on long dog walks in the countryside and daily dips in the sea before returning to your home-away-from-home where you can cosy up in front of the cracking wood burner with your dog curled up next to you.
Inside the property is a bright conservatory with storage space, comfortable furniture and garden views. The kitchen is homely with warm neutral tones, farmhouse-style units and a dining table and two chairs. Relax in the lounge in front of the exposed brick inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, beneath the wooden beamed ceiling. There is also a Sky TV, desk and a sofa which converts into a double bed. Additional seating for mealtimes can be found in the dining room, where there is a table and chairs for four guests. Also on the ground floor is a delightful bathroom with a shower. Climb the stairs to reach a separate WC and the wonderful bedrooms – a small double with views across the marsh and a double bedroom. Outside is a garden with a lawned area, patio and furniture.
Situated down a quiet private lane, this property benefits from rural and quiet surroundings. Wander into the centre of the Aldeburgh (1 mile) to browse the boutique shops and treat yourself to some food in one of the dog-welcoming cafes or restaurants. When you reach the seafront, go for a dip at Aldeburgh Beach (1 mile), which is canine-friendly between October and April, and sniff out the elegant 13ft Scallop monument (1 mile). If you’re visiting during summer and fancy a dip with your dog in tow, the sand and shingle Sizewell Beach (6 miles) allows four-legged friends all year round.
