Stay close to the coast in this cosy family-friendly property, where those on four legs as well as two are sure to have a ball. Half a mile away is Glen Beach, a place where humans and doggies can run and play, soaking up the seaside atmosphere all year round.

The open-plan living area is a great place to gather, be it to kick back and relax on the sofas for a film night, cosy up beside the wood burner-effect gas fire for a snooze or tuck into a feast at the dinner table. In addition, there’s another living space where you can go for a little peace and quiet, equipped with a TV, Xbox and seating. With nautical hues on the walls, the kitchen is where you’ll enjoy preparing meals – there is ample surface space and a door out to the enclosed garden. The sleeping arrangements consist of two beautiful king-size bedrooms with a calming ambience, as well as a twin which is well-suited to children. Completing the property is the family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed garden has a place to sit and soak up the sunshine, as well as a lawn for Fido to burn off some energy at the end of the day.

The seaside village of Saundersfoot lies a mile away, with a friendly local atmosphere and a selection of dog-friendly eateries that you can visit for a special treat. Hop aboard a boat trip from the harbour to spend an afternoon wildlife spotting, or keep your paws on the ground and explore the Wales Coast Path where your dog will leave no stick unfetched. Lovers of history will enjoy a stroll around Pembroke Castle (11 miles) with your canine companion in tow, sniffing out the best spot for a picnic within the grounds.

Very well equipped house that was clean and well kept. A proper home from home. Close to the village centre but very steep hill to get back. Really good communication from the holiday rental agent. Overall excellent.
