This lovely cottage puts guests in the heart of vibrant Brighton, with independent boutiques, cafes and restaurants right on your doorstep (many of which welcome man’s best friend, too). Brighton beach has dog restrictions between April and September in many places, but you’re welcome to stroll along the prom all year round and take your pup on the Volk’s Railway, which runs between the Palace Pier and the Marina. The city is bursting with parks guaranteed to set tails wagging, or head out of town to the South Downs National Park (which begins within the city’s boundaries) or to Devil’s Dyke (5.5 miles).
