Set tails wagging at this beautiful top-floor apartment that sits in the heart of the ancient maritime village of Appledore; a delightful retreat for a small family or two couples and a beloved hound. The property sits along the bustling quayside and offers spectacular views of the estuary across to the neighbouring seaside town of Instow.
Located at the top of a three-storey building with a further apartment below and a popular deli at street level, visitors climb a shared cottage-style staircase to access the apartment entrance. Once inside, you’ll be bowled over by the open-plan living space, which features large sash windows overlooking the serene River Torridge and the coming and goings of busy village life. On the street side, you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen and dining area with breakfast bar. Both bedrooms are bright and spacious with TVs and en-suites, with bedroom one featuring a king-size bed and estuary views. Bedroom two is a pretty and fresh twin that can also be arranged as a king if requested. There is an additional WC. Although there is no outdoor space with this property, the South West Coast Path runs immediately opposite the property.
In the village itself, you’ll find a number of dog-friendly cafes and pubs and visitors are sure to enjoy meandering through the characterful streets lined with pastel-hued fishermen’s cottages. The estuary is always a hive of activity with crabbing, quay jumping and people enjoying strolls with their dogs. During the summer months, a ferry runs between Appledore and Instow and its popular dog-friendly beach. Westward Ho!, a beach famed for its surf, is just 3 miles away and there are a plethora of dog-friendly family days out attractions within easy reach.
