Unwind in a cosy couple’s bolthole with homely touches, romantic interiors plus a tranquil garden filled with shrubs and trees. Spend your time exploring the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty from your base in the 2,000-year-old village of Snape. Enjoy quality time with your other half and loyal canine companion while on riverside walks, enjoying dips in the sea and snuggling up in front of a film.
Climb two steps to reach the annexe, and step inside the open-plan living space. Natural light pours in through the French doors to the lounge area, where there’s two armchairs and a Smart TV. Next to this is a dining table and chairs which sit beneath a wooden beam across the ceiling. The farmhouse-style kitchen is compact but well organised with plenty of space for cooking a meal for two. There is also a boot cupboard, a king-size bedroom and a lovely bathroom with a walk-in shower. Outside is a sheltered, enclosed garden with seating.
Explore the village of Snape, which sits at the head of a tidal estuary and was originally settled by the Romans. Within 0.5 miles are a cafe and canine-welcoming pub. Bring your walking boots for a stroll around the Snape Marshes Nature Reserve (0.5 miles), or head 4.5 miles to explore Captain’s Wood. You could follow Sailor’s Path – which will take you from Snape to Aldeburgh (6 miles) along the estuary. If you’ve got tired legs, drive 6 miles to Aldeburgh Beach instead, which allows four-legged friends between October and April, or restriction-free Sizewell Beach (7.5 miles) if you’re visiting during summer.
