Offering welcoming holiday accommodation for up to five guests, this picturesque stone cottage is a fantastic holiday retreat in a beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales. Ideal for exploring the spectacular countryside of Swaledale, the property has been tastefully furnished to make a characterful getaway for families and friends. An idyllic holiday home for keen walkers and nature lovers, with plenty of space for five human and two canine guests, this cheerful, traditional cottage is set beside a brook and features timber beams, characterful furnishings and a working range with a roaring open fire.

This charming property offers a warm and sociable lounge/diner with lovely views over the meadows and features original timber beams in the ceiling, and a traditional range still in working order, providing a wonderful space for everyone to sit back and unwind. A small step leads down into a delightful kitchen with a handy utility room and laundry room. Upstairs, you will find a refreshing bathroom and three character-filled bedrooms: one king-size, a twin and a single. Going outside, there’s a sweet, shared patio area with garden furniture. Set by the brook as it streams past, this is a lovely space for you and your four-legged friends to unwind. There’s an additional shared patio to the front.

The cottage lies on the outskirts of the tranquil village of Thwaite in the stunning Swaledale part of the Yorkshire Dales. Keen walkers can follow both the Pennine Way and the Coast-to-Coast walks which pass nearby, giving your furry pals miles of idyllic countryside to enjoy. The thriving market town of Hawes (7 miles) has quaint, narrow, winding lanes and a choice of pet-friendly cafes and pubs. Dogs are welcome at various nearby attractions including the remains of Lammerside Castle, Aysgarth Falls and Calver Hill, all within 12 miles.

Very comfortable, had everything we needed for our stay and very friendly owner. Beautiful view with lovely river next to cottage and in a very beautiful part of the Yorkshire dales. We would love to go back.

Cosy cottage, kind host, beautiful hills and moors, and great food around (especially the Farmers Arms in Muker). The perfect place for long walks.

Lovely cosy, comfortable and well equipped cottage with nice outdoor sitting areas. Beautiful location but the roads are not for the faint hearted or those who cant reverse!
