Set in a picturesque village along the Pennine Way, this traditional stone-built cottage provides cosy accommodation for couples and smaller families eager to experience the unforgettable countryside of the Yorkshire Dales. A bright, airy and relaxing holiday retreat for up to four guests, this sweet and welcoming property also has ample room for a pair of four-legged friends to tag along to help you explore the area’s beautiful valleys, dales and moors. With a stream trickling past, this cheery getaway is part of a group of cottages and has a range of original features including wooden ceiling beams, an open fire in a stone fireplace and a variety of charming furnishings.
The lovely lounge/diner is beautifully furnished, with a characterful beamed ceiling, and provides an ideal space to relax in front of the open fire and enjoy a movie at the end of a great day. The stylish kitchen offers delightful views over the village. Upstairs, you will have a choice of two tastefully furnished bedrooms: a cheerful double room and a delightful twin room, alongside a spacious bathroom. Outside, the cottage enjoys a pretty setting by a brook, with a shared patio area providing garden furniture so you can sit back with a drink and enjoy the views. An additional shared patio area is to the front of the property.
The cottage is set on the outskirts of Thwaite in the Swaledale part of the Yorkshire Dales, with the Pennine Way and the Coast-to-Coast walks both passing nearby, providing miles of glorious scenery for your canine pals to lead you along. Known for its narrow winding lanes, the market town of Hawes (7 miles) has a choice of pet-welcoming cafes and pubs once you’ve explored Aysgarth Falls, Calver Hill and the remains of Lammerside Castle, all within 12 miles.
