This stunning cottage with a walled patio garden is tucked away in the beautiful coastal village of Polruan, a short distance from the beach. It’s perfect for a couple, friends, or a family looking to enjoy the stunning Cornish coast, with beautiful beaches, pretty towns and villages, heaps of walks and interesting places to visit nearby.
The cottage is in the heart of Polruan yet hidden away with a private courtyard garden that catches the sun throughout the day – it’s safe and enclosed for youngsters and the furry family member. The cottage has been styled to provide a relaxing home-from-home with plenty of space to relax, eat and cook together. There are two bedrooms – a super-king and a double – along with a bathroom and a handy downstairs WC. The living room/diner has a Smart TV with Netflix and a warming wood burner, and the kitchen has plenty of natural light and countertop space to prepare hearty meals.
Polruan has a bakery, a shop, two pubs and an ice cream shop. A ferry from the harbour takes you across the estuary to Fowey, where there are more places to eat out. Visit the Fowey Aquarium, 0.75 miles away, or head to St Catherine’s Castle, 1 mile away, which sits on the headland opposite Polruan and was originally built to defend Fowey Harbour. There are stunning walks nearby including perhaps one of the most beautiful on the whole of the South West Coast Path which goes through the stunning scenery between Polruan and Looe (10 miles away). The shorter 4-mile Hall Walk is very popular too. It traces the estuary to Bodinnick where you cross by ferry, before walking to Fowey and catching a ferry home (the ferries are happy for your furry friend to join you onboard).
