The larger village of Mevagissey is about 0.75 miles away where there’s a range of places to shop and eat out, and a beautiful harbour. Grab the lead and head out on beautiful walks in both directions on the South West Coast Path. There’s a lovely 6-mile circular walk which follows the path along the cliffs around Turbot Point to Gorran Haven, then follows inland footpaths through the valley and West Bodrugan Wood Nature Reserve back to Portmellon. For days out, the Eden Project is 10.5 miles away and the Lost Gardens of Heligan is 3 miles away, where your canine companions are welcome too.
