Have a ball on the beach in this gorgeous coastal property. It’s the perfect place for a mixed group and their canine companions to play, bond and explore Devon. The apartment is spacious, bright and comfortable, and salty sea dogs will be glad to know that it’s about 100 metres from the shoreline.
As you enter, you’ll find an open-plan living area with facilities for cooking, dining and relaxing. There are huge windows and sliding doors which lead directly onto the beach, so you can watch the waves or enjoy a book in the morning sun. This property has three bedrooms: a king-size, a double with a SkyPod (no windows), and a twin – each beautifully decorated and relaxing, with en-suite wet rooms. Out the back of the property is an enclosed garden with a lawn (ideal for a game of fetch), and an outdoor dining table. It gets lots of sun in the afternoon and evening, so it’s a great place to enjoy dinner and perhaps a drink.
The closest beach is Babbacombe Beach, which welcomes dogs and has striking red sand. If you like to go on the water – and sometimes in it – you’ll be able to hire water sports equipment nearby. Alternatively, head to Dartmoor National Park, 11.5 miles away, for drier adventures, where you can find wild ponies and plenty of walks. For history, try the National Trust’s Compton Castle, 6 miles, which also allows dogs. A trip to the Daymark (13 miles) is also fun and a good place to sniff about. Finally, if you’d like to visit a nearby town, Newton Abbot is 6 miles away and has plenty of dog-friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants.
