Take the family for an incredible trip around Devon and stay in this beautiful bungalow. The place is lovely, comfortable and ideally located, and the best part is the stunning views over the local countryside and towards Burgh Island. Plus, two dogs are welcome! So set tails wagging and get ready for a ball.
As you enter the property, you’ll find a large dining area and lounge with huge glass doors, which allows natural light to flow freely throughout the open-plan space. Through an archway, you’ll find a kitchen, perfect for cooking up feasts after long days out. There are three bedrooms: a double with an en-suite shower room, a twin and a single, so there’s space for everyone and a little privacy for your teenager. The single bedroom adjoins the double bedroom, and each room is nicely decorated and feels relaxing. There is also a family shower room. In front of the bungalow is a small front garden, and in the back is a stretching lawn for sunbathing, drawing or playing. This is overlooked by a decked veranda, which has patio furniture. Why not prepare something scrumptious on the outdoor electric grill?
Although the cottage feels very rural, you’re only 20 miles from Plymouth, a fun university town with a lot to offer. For days on the beach, try Bantham Beach, (1 mile) where you can rent water sports equipment and surf. Parts of the beach are suitable for dogs, so check ahead of time. Alternatively, Hope Cove has lots of dog-friendly options and interesting local history, so try to see the rest of the village. For adventure, make your way to Salcombe Castle (6.5 miles) which is great for exploring, and then continue to Salcombe for dog-friendly pubs.
