This pretty cottage, situated in the picturesque village of Debenham, is the perfect little romantic bolthole for two – and the pup, of course! Sleeping you both in a tranquil double bedroom, this property is set in the heart of the village with cafes, shops and pubs all within 350 metres. Go for walkies around the stunning Hoppit Wood and Lake (0.5 miles) before returning home to sizzle up a BBQ in the south-facing garden and dine alfresco.

As soon as you step into the property you’re welcomed by its traditional charm. A stunning exposed brick fireplace in the lounge houses a wood burner that the dog will love curling up by; snuggle up together on the sofa and watch TV or dine at the table. A contemporary, neutrally-decorated kitchen has everything you need for hearty breakfasts to set you up for the day, and features stairs leading up to the first floor. Here, a spacious bedroom with another exposed brick wall and calming decor lulls you to sleep. Start off your day in the stylish bathroom with an invigorating shower or wind down after a long day out waking in the bath among contemporary grey tones. Outside, the hound will love running around the enclosed garden while you sunbathe on the loungers with your favourite book.

Take in some history at Sutton Hoo (16 miles), made famous by the Anglo-Saxon burial grounds found here, where your pup can join you everywhere including in the tea room where there’s a pet menu! Take a delightful family ride on the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway (4.5 miles), or wander the Food Museum (10.5 miles) where you can taste food made with on-site ingredients, stroll the river sculpture trail or watch one of the daily demonstrations and talks.

Cute little property equiped for our needs with a sweet sitting area to the rear and some open grass in front of properties to walk the dog. Characterful and suitable for us even with the steep stairs. Ideal base to explore the local areas. Enjoyed our short week and appreciate the effort that had gone into the decor by the owners.

A very warm and cosy cottage with everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The village is delightful and we really enjoyed several visits to River Green Caf. This is also an excellent location for visiting the coastal areas. Thank you for the lovely welcome pack and being so dog friendly!
