Head onto the decking area to view the enclosed garden, full of spots for Fido to sniff and play, while you cuddle up in the double hammock, enjoy breakfast on the patio furniture, or soak in the outdoor bath. This property feels secluded but has easy access to a nearby town. Take a walk to Totnes Castle, 0.5 miles away, for spectacular views and fascinating history, then continue 0.5 miles to the centre of Totnes. You’ll find lots of charming local shops and pubs which welcome dogs. For hikes, try Dartmoor National Park (6 miles) and look out for wild ponies, or amble around Berry Head Lighthouse (11.5 miles) to spot whales and dolphins. There’s a lovely dog-friendly cafe in the lighthouse if you want to stop for lunch. Finally, splash around in the idyllically named Fairy Cove (6.5 miles), a dog-friendly beach with striking red sand and lots of rock pools, just outside Paignton.
