Take one lucky pup to this unique single-storey cottage located in the tranquil village of Corton, perfect for a couple seeking a romantic retreat or a family looking for a restful escape. Located 3 miles north of Lowestoft, Corton is a peaceful setting with a long sand-and-shingle beach that’s quieter than many beaches in the area but has restrictions for your pup from 1 May - 30 September, A nearby alternative is Gunton Denes Beach (1.5 miles) which welcomes four paws all year.

This charming property is a real home-from-home, filled with character and beautifully styled throughout with a light, fresh interior design. As you enter, there’s a cosy and welcoming lounge with a choice of relaxing seating where you can unwind with your hound resting contentedly at your feet. A TV provides entertainment, and a wood burner warms up any chilly evenings, making this a great year-round property. Across the hall is a lovely contemporary kitchen with all the appliances needed for preparing meals to enjoy together at the dining table. There is also a door from the kitchen opening to the back garden. When you want to rest, a king-size and a single bedroom are available and both have TVs. A bathroom with a shower over the bath, a walk-in shower and WC complete the offer of this lovely lodge. Step outside and enjoy the enclosed garden and patio area with garden seating - an ideal spot for al fresco dining.

The Suffolk coast is filled with wonderful places to explore, including the seaside resort of Southwold (15.5 miles) with its iconic lighthouse, colourful beach huts and traditional pier. The beach at Southwold has restrictions in the summer, so take your sea dog on the rowboat ferry to Walberswick and enjoy the beach there. For a lovely coastal walk, head to Kessingland (9 miles) and walk to Pakefield. Alternatively, head inland to Bungay (19 miles), a quintessential Suffolk market town and let your pup lead the way on the 5.5-mile ''Bigod Way'' walk around Bungay, Earsham and the Bath Hills.

Such a delightful cottage in a perfect location. Lots of walks along the adjacent nature reserve, also sea front. The very secure garden kept my greyhound very happy, reassuring for me as I knew she was safe. Overall a fantastic stay and we will be back.

Cottage location is central for exploring , but the roads to the front and side are very busy. The garden although advertised to be secure , we did not feel was secure enough for our Springer Spaniel as there is only a low fence on the busy main road side of the garden. The pictures of the house make the property look bigger than it actually is. However, we were very comfortable and the bathroom is nice and large.

Lovely cottage, clean, well equipped. There were 3 of us, 2 adults and a petite 15 year old and found the cottage quite small, if there were 4 adults it would be tight in there plus theres only seating for 3 in the living room. The door frames are quite low, husband at 5ft 11 had to duck. A lot of road noise, but this we got use too. It is quiteRead more a step in and out of the shower. We found the cottage smelt musky in the living room and main bedroom and noticed damp walls on the living room walls. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review.
