This charming traditional cottage offers a lovely coastal retreat for a couple or small family looking to explore Fowey and the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The ancient fishing port of Fowey makes a wonderful base for exploring the region and there’s plenty to do right on your doorstep, including quirky shops and boutiques, a bustling harbour, aquarium, delicious local restaurants, and the Daphne Du Maurier Literary Centre. The sandy beach at Readymoney Cove is just a mile away, and if you’re feeling active, you can indulge in water sports or take advantage of the many hiking routes, including the South West Coast Path which passes through the town. Venture out to explore the tidal creeks, rolling hills and rugged cliffs of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and see two of Cornwall’s most famous attractions, the Eden Project (9 miles) and the Lost Gardens of Heligan (15 miles).
This quaint two-storey cottage is light and spacious, with a subtle nautical theme throughout. Step off the street directly into the bright and airy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge has twin sofas arranged around a feature electric fire and TV, with an open staircase dividing this space from the adjoining dining area, which has a family dining table next to a wood burner. An archway leads through into a compact but well-equipped kitchen with a door leading to the courtyard and an external utility room. Upstairs, there are two spacious bedrooms, one double and one twin, along with a family bathroom.
The paved courtyard to the rear of the property offers a chance to relax outdoors and enjoy a meal or drink alfresco.
