Go mutts on a trip to this family-friendly holiday home in Saundersfoot which welcomes two pups to stay and play. Head out to sea on a wildlife-spotting boat trip to soak in the panoramic sights from the harbour for an unforgettable experience with your canine companions at your side.
The heart of the home is the lounge where comfortable sofas are placed around a warming gas fire and a TV, where all the family can gather together for a spot of evening entertainment. At mealtimes, the kitchen/diner has everything you’ll need with bright windows allowing light to pour in and seating at both the breakfast bar as well as at the eight-seater dining table. Come rain or shine, the conservatory is a wonderful place to relax with a cup of tea and a good book, with a wood-clad ceiling and pretty views out of the windows. Completing the ground floor is a handy downstairs shower room and a utility room where you can wash off any muddy clothing from your walkies. Upstairs, are three bedrooms, including a triple with access to a decked balcony, furnished with a double bed and a single bed, perfect for those with young children. Next door is a tasteful twin, and there is also a bright double – both offer peaceful places to rest your head. Finally, there is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. In addition to the decked balcony, there is a raised deck at the front of the property where you can sit out and eat when the sun is shining, with your dogs snoozing at your feet.
Saundersfoot town is just 200 metres away from your doorstep, with an array of shops and eateries to be enjoyed, many of which serve up fresh, locally caught seafood. A number of paw-friendly sands can be found within the local area, including Saundersfoot itself, which has restrictions on the southern half but still allows plenty of space to fetch on the rest of the bay. Set off on the Wales Coast Path in search of the best sticks to fetch, heading towards Tenby (3.5 miles) to visit the quintessential seaside town which has a beach welcoming dogs all year round to plod on the sand and sniff out a new adventure.
