Escape to a Grade II-listed cottage with characterful original features which sits in a quiet village near a river-port town in North Devon. Spend your time away strolling along the coast (9 miles) with your human and four-legged guests or exploring the ancient town of Barnstaple. Then relax in the summer house with a glass of wine or warm cold feet and paws in front of the crackling wood burner inside an inglenook fireplace.

Step inside this homely property and discover a cosy lounge/diner with a wooden-beamed ceiling and wood burner. Continue into the compact galley kitchen with neutral tones and a farmhouse feel. There is also an outbuilding utility area. Climb the stairs to reach the first floor, where you’ll find the family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Also on this level is the master bedroom with a double bed, a twin room and a single bedroom. Outside is a garden with a patio, lawn and summer house with a bistro set inside.

Lovely cottage, would suit a family with children. The stairs are not suitable for elderly folk and care was needed to ensure safe passage. Loved the garden area, great space.

We loved staying at Sunnymeade. It worked really well for our whole family. We found the whole property to be really clean, really well equipped and very homely. The garden was particularly beautiful. And even though we didnt get to use it too much because of the rain, we really enjoyed seeing all the wildflowers and exploring the summer house. It Read morewas great that the house was equipped with all of the things we needed for a littlest one and our dog. We made good use of the pack away cot, high chair, and doggy bowls. The local area had a spar where we could buy the bits and bobs we needed in the parking space outside was easy to access and always clear. The local area had some nice places to walk a dog - we went to Instow a few times; and then also drove further afield to beaches like Saunton Sands. Overall we think this property was brilliant value for money and a really nice stay - thanks so much! Hide
