This picture-perfect fisherman’s cottage offers sublime river views, thanks to its close proximity to the estuary. Importantly, it is also near the village’s shop and dog-friendly pub, which will offer a warm welcome after a long day out walking or exploring the river’s private inlets.

The property was sensitively updated in 2015 so that its interiors are in keeping with its waterside location. Light and bright throughout, it has everything you need for a holiday with family or friends and, of course, your beloved dog. The sitting room has a stone feature wall with a wood burner, perfect for curling up in front of with your furry friend while enjoying a film on the TV. The farmhouse-style kitchen is up two slate steps and has everything you need to create delicious meals easily while on holiday. While eating, you can enjoy views of the river. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms – one double and one twin – both with river views. The double bedroom has its own en-suite, and there is also a family bathroom. Outside, the patio allows guests to make use of Helford’s microclimate and has a table and chairs available for use all year round.

Helford is a wonderful location for a quintessential British holiday. With plenty of walks close by, that will offer some of the prettiest scenes you can see in the south, you, your group and your dog will be eager to get out on foot and explore. However, exploring by the river is also highly recommended, with the river offering a whole host of water sports for everyone to get involved in.

This is the 4th time that we have stayed here which probably says a lot about the place. It is a lovely warm, cosy cottage in a beautiful village. It is very well equipped and has a very homely feel. Having its own parking space by the cottage is a real bonus. Im sure well be back.

Wonderful cottage, very clean and well equipped. Lovely location with a sunny patio. It's dead opposite the pub, which was noisy at times but didn't bother us at all. We love Popigale (and Helford). Its been our family retreat for many, many years. We have just spent another thoroughly enjoyable week there and enjoyed fabulous weather (for January) including a beautiful sunny day for walking the SWCP, in short sleeves! Even though January is a quiet month for eating out it was entirely made up for by the quiRead moreet roads and paths and some tasty pub lunches (plus lots of pasties). Unfortunately the Shipwrights closed on the Sunday for a holiday which was a shame but we understand everyone needs a holiday! We managed to get the best Sunday lunch there before they closed, definitely recommended! We visited so lots of local beaches and villages, I never ever get tired of a Cornish Cove or coast path. Thank you for offering this gem!! Hide
