Wednesday Cottage is under new ownership and has been thoroughly refurbished throughout - see the new photos!
Ideal for a family or group of friends, the property is set on a delightful, secluded corner of Helford estuary. Its central village location means that Helford’s amenities are only a few hundred metres away, yet it is easy to drive to other attractions that this part of Cornwall has to offer. The pretty villages of Gweek (8.5 miles away), Coverack (6.5 miles away), Manaccan (1.3 miles away) Flushing (3.1 miles away) or Porthallow (4.5 miles away) all have their own charm and character. Within Helford, water sports abound and it's possible to jump on the ferry from the village’s port to Helford Passage Beach.
The newly renovated cottage welcomes guests through a quaint fretwork porch that leads into the open-plan living and dining room with underfloor heating. The room’s stand-out feature is the inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. Through an archway is the attractive oak kitchen. Beyond the kitchen is the bathroom with a shower cubicle and a washing machine. Open stairs with a rope banister lead from the kitchen to two double bedrooms and a twin room with a double-height ceiling. There is also a separate WC on this floor.
From the light and spacious landing, head outdoors to a small patio with steep steps that lead to a higher patio with furniture for relaxing or eating al fresco meals. Both patios catch the late morning and evening sun so perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or something stronger whilst looking at the fantastic views of the village’s cottage rooftops.
