Property code: OC-NIGELH

This delightful Cornish cottage is nestled in the tiny fishing village of Mousehole on the West Cornwall coast. Perfectly suited to friends, families and their four-legged friends, the South West Coast Path passes within a few hundred metres of its front door, allowing you to soak up the far-reaching sea views of Mount’s Bay. Less than 300 metres from the bustling harbour, independent shops, art galleries and eateries, you won’t have to go far to immerse yourselves in the coastal lifestyle. If you’re lucky to stay at Christmas, you’re in for a treat, as you’ll see the famous Mousehole lights.

Although some original features have been retained, this charming cottage has been stylishly refurbished with contemporary décor to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. A light palette and warm wooden tones create the feeling of space throughout. On the ground floor, a cosy lounge with a wood burner is the ideal spot for curling up of an evening, whilst next door, a large kitchen/diner has everything you’ll need to cook up some treats. There are two beautifully presented bedrooms on the first floor and a family bathroom. Outside, the patio to the front affords stunning views – perfect for morning coffee.

The West Cornwall coast has plenty of unique experiences on offer. Heading towards Land’s End (11 miles), stop off in idyllic Porthcurno (10 miles), a secluded cove with white sand and crystal-clear sea, with the clifftop Minack Theatre perched above it, where you can catch open-air theatre against a stunning backdrop. Heading north, enjoy a stroll around artists’ haven, St Ives (11 miles), with its beaches, shops, eateries and famous Tate gallery. A little closer to home, walk or catch a boat to tidal island St Michael’s Mount from Marazion (6.5 miles) and see the coast from another perspective.

We love Nigel Cottage, this is our fourth visit. The Cottage is lovely and cosy well appointed and in an amazing location. It's very good to use as a base to explore this area of Cornwall. We love sitting outside having a bbq and a chat with all the passers-by. The Coastguard is a must for Sunday dinner and the Ship has great Cornish beer a warm weRead morelcome & good food. Also you get a very warm welcome at the Legion. Nice walks to Newlyn and Penzance and a very good bus service from the front door. Hide

Nigel Cottage is an absolute gem. Fabulous accommodation with all amenities you could need. The bonus off off road parking makes it stand out from the rest. Would also give a special mention of The Coastguard opposite, lovely place. Also fabulous meal at No2 Fore Street on the harbour.
