Occupying a beachside location in the charming town of Porthleven on the West Cornwall coast, friends or small families and their canine companions will love this delightful property. Immerse yourselves in coastal life, with early morning strolls along the beach, lazy days jumping the waves and building sandcastles, and evenings spent marvelling at the sunset. With sea views from every room, you will never tire of this property’s spectacular position, whatever the weather. The town’s bustling harbour, independent shops and eateries are also within a few hundred metres for added convenience.

Bright and airy throughout, neutral tones and a reverse-level layout allow the panoramic sea views to speak for themselves. Enter on to the ground floor where you’ll find the two bedrooms ( a king-size and a single) and a contemporary bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find a large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. At one end, a cosy lounge and window seat offer somewhere to soak up the views. At the other end, a kitchen/diner offers somewhere to cook up some treats and enjoy them around the perfectly placed table. Although there is no private outdoor space, steps next to the property lead down to the beach.

With so much to see and do in Porthleven, you may not want to leave, but this area of Cornwall is packed with natural beauty and unique experiences. The South West Coast Path passes through the town with Praa Sands in one direction and Mullion in the other (both within 6.5 miles). The Lizard Peninsula and Point (14 miles) is also a wonderful spot for two-legged and four-legged guests to enjoy a walk. Heading north, artists’ haven, St Ives (16 miles) has a wealth of galleries, shops and beaches, whereas theatregoers must not miss The Minack Theatre nestled in the cliffs above Porthcurno (22 miles).

This is the second time we have stayed in Blue Horizon and love the location which really cant be bettered but this time the damp in the property was a really problem and we did not feel it was even safe with lots of damp around the electric sockets, we also had to empty a dehumidifier every day!

Blue Horizon is a wonderful place to stay, it has everything you need and is definitely home from home. It is very clean and well maintained and the little things are so appreciated, little hamper on arrival and the bottle of wine in the fridge. It is in a great location not only in Porthleven but for visiting many other beautiful parts of CornwalRead morel. The only downside is having to leave! Hide

We have been many times before but feel this time it definitely needs some TLC inside and out other thing that is a matter of choice the chairs I personally preferred the wooden ones

Lovely clean, light cottage with wonderful views of the sea and coastline. Easy access to beach. Shops and amenities a short walk into town. 'Portleven is Heaven!'
