Occupying an elevated position above Porthleven’s historic harbour, this delightful cottage is perfect for families and their four-legged friends who want to explore the West Cornwall coast. With harbour and sea views from the sunroom, the terrace and the bedrooms, you can watch the fishing boats come and go all year round. In good weather, head out for a walk along the South West Coast Path that passes through the town, or down to Porthleven’s golden sandy beach which affords stunning panoramic views of Mount’s Bay.
Clean and contemporary throughout, the occasional pop of blue reflects the property’s coastal location. Enter through the sunroom - a great place to soak up the views - before moving into the cosy lounge where your dogs can curl up in front of the wood burner whilst you relax on the varied seating. A contemporary kitchen/diner completes this floor with everything you’ll need to cook up a storm. Upstairs, there are two light and airy bedrooms, each with their own en-suite shower room. Outside, steps lead up to a sun deck at the rear of the property (also accessed from the twin room), which offers a lovely spot for a morning coffee.
A bustling harbour town, Porthleven has plenty to offer, including a sandy beach, freshly caught seafood served in the pubs and cafes, independent shops and galleries, and access to the South West Coast Path. Intrepid explorers and their faithful friends can follow the path to beautiful Praa Sands (5 miles) or Mullion (6.5 miles), whereas others may prefer to explore The Lizard Peninsula and feel the wind in their fur on the Point (14 miles). Alternatively, you could head for Land’s End (22 miles), and on your way home call in to the unique, clifftop Minack Theatre (22 miles) for a show.
