Property code: OC-STORM

Boasting a private sunroom perched right above the beach, this nautical-themed cottage is the ultimate coastal retreat. With easy access to the South West Coast Path that your pup will have a ball exploring with you, this family-friendly property will have the whole pack jumping for joy.

Let your canine companion sniff around the two bedrooms on the ground floor as you go mutts for the nautical theme and beamed ceiling. Lead the way upstairs to prepare a meal in the well-equipped kitchen/diner; your pup will love dozing in the warm spots beneath the glass conservatory-style roof above the spacious dining table. Hunker down for the evening in the cosy lounge where Rover can keep watch out of the characterful low-level window. There is also another bedroom on this level for you to call home. The best place to invite the outside in and soak up some magnificent uninterrupted sea views is the sunroom, complete with comfy seating, Velux windows and a balcony with a glass balustrade. Little paws will love climbing up the stone steps outside to reach the raised pebbled patio that’s perfect for al fresco dining with all the family.

Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the country. It boasts the sights of fishing boats drawing in their daily catch, a picturesque granite harbour, several quaint cafes and restaurants serving locally sourced menus, and an award-winning quayside fishmonger. Lead the way to an adventure along the unspoilt coastal path to the seafront with your four-pawed pal in tow, before going mutts in the waves at Porthleven Beach less than half a mile away, offering a 3-mile stretch of golden sand to enjoy. There are plenty of sticks to fetch along the South West Coast Path, including through the forest next to Loe Bar with breathtaking coastal views towards the Penrose Estate.

Lovely cottage and quirky layout. Close to the village, sunroom brilliant as was the weather. Husband found the sofa v uncomfortable ( he has hip problems). The garden seemed a bit uncared for and there was a piece of broken glass on the outside table ( which I binned). Love staying in Porthleven, have come every year for at least the last 10 yeaRead morers (except 20 and 21). Hide

The internet didn't work, someone did come out when we reported it, but once on still couldn't download anything, and one of us rarely managed to get on at all. There was a cracked glass and a cracked mug in the cupboard. And a leak under the sink in the downstairs toilet. None of the clocks worked. There was no storage for food, all cupboards wereRead more full of crocks etc. However, the views of the sea from the sitting room, and sun room were amazing. Xx Hide

Nice property and good location, but not clear that sun-room / balcony was separate to the house. Also door locks need attention as well as hinge on cupboards
