  • Characterful, traditional granite cottage set within the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site
  • Decorated with stunning local photographs with advice on local photographic locations
  • Enjoy wonderful sea views and head out on the coast path to explore the magnificent surroundings
Property code: OC-WILLSC

Located in the peaceful village of Trewellard, this traditional two-bedroom granite cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the magnificent scenery and rugged coastlines of West Cornwall, just a stick’s throw from a wonderful coastal path. Sleeping four humans and two pup pals, this is a great spot for a memorable family holiday.

Your canine companion will adore curling up on your lap as you plan the day’s adventure on the quaint window seat, set in an exposed brick wall in the open-plan lounge/dining room. Once you’re home, this is a wonderful room to hunker down for the evening, on the sofa with Rover dozing on the rug beside you. Enjoy the hearty meal you’ve prepared in the well-equipped kitchen around the compact wooden dining set as your pup sniffs out a cosy spot underneath the stairs. Retreat upstairs to the en-suite king-size or twin bedroom, both featuring colourful decor. Cleaning sandy paws in the bathroom is as easy as admiring the magnificent surrounding sea views, with glimpses of the Isles of Scilly on a clear day. The enclosed courtyard is a safe spot for little paws to pad around as you enjoy dining alfresco.

Nestled in an area synonymous with Cornwall’s mining history, Pendeen is a small village boasting several 19th-century stone miner’s cottages and a variety of local shops in the town centre. Lead the way to an adventure with your four-pawed pal along rugged heather-clad moors to sniff out the impressive Carn Kenidjack, 1.5 miles away, a unique rocky outcrop rising 650ft above sea level. Situated on a headland known as Pendeen Watch, take epic walkies around Pendeen Lighthouse, where you can admire breathtaking views over the secluded coves below whilst your pup soaks up the salty sea air. The South West Coast Path also provides a quiet stretch to explore together.

The cottage is in a great location in walking distance to the coast with lots of places to see nearby. The guide left on places to visit nearby including hidden spots was brilliant for catching some great photograph. Would look at coming back to stay again

Comfortable cottage in a great location. You can see the coast from one of the bedrooms. The location guide is a help for those new to the area.

Absolutely loved the cottage. A wonderful and magical location looking out over a fantastic coastline. The cottage was perfect for our needs and was a great base for a family of four to enjoy West Cornwall. Thankyou

What I liked; - The location is great! Near the sea, quiet, 2 restaurants nearby where you can eat well. In St Just you can eat well at the Commercial. - The wifi is very good - The beds are good What I didn't like; - the cottage is damp - the cottage was not clean - not all appliances work. The owners know this, but no solution - the coRead morettage needs a makeover. Hide

The cottage is lovely and a great location. Benefits from off road parking. A key for the rear door would be useful - allowing exit to walk the dog. The en-suite to the main bedroom is very small. I was not able to use the toilet due to the very narrow space. I am not a particularly large person but sitting on the toilet was impossible. BotRead moreh the shower cubicles are also very small making use of them tricky. Overall a fantastic holiday location. Hide

We were disappointed with this cottage as it needed tlc. En suite wc is virtually unusable due to being jammed in an extremely narrow place. Cooker control panel is worn out and has faded pen markings showing what is what but hard to read. Wheelie bin was overflowing when we arrived and stayed that way all week. Bathrooms very dated with some mouldRead more growth. On the plus side its a good location and cottage has a lot of space and kitchen equipment. We would not return. Hide
