Impeccably situated above the beach, moments from the picture-perfect harbour, this cosy one-bedroom cottage is a romantic bolthole from which to explore the iconic fishing town of Porthleven with your four-pawed third wheel.
After long walkies around the wonderful surrounding coastline, take the weight off on the large comfy sofa in the open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen area whilst your wet-nosed pal curls up beside the beautiful wood burner and dreams of tomorrow’s adventure. Take the locally caught produce you’ve collected and whip up a hearty meal in the well-equipped kitchen, down some steps, before enjoying a romantic meal for two around the compact wooden dining set opposite; the rug beside is bathed in sunlight from the wonderful Velux window above and is the perfect spot for your pup to settle and keep you company. When it’s time to let sleeping dogs lie, retreat upstairs to the generous en-suite double bedroom that features plenty of room for Rover’s bed. Up a wooden staircase with a unique fishing net bannister, you’re welcomed onto a balcony with uninterrupted views of the beach, and a patio perfect for little paws.
The most southerly working port in the country, Porthleven is a mecca for foodies and beach lovers, retaining the character of an unspoilt fishing village. Take a gentle stroll around the picturesque Porthleven Harbour, less than half a mile away, with your canine companion in tow; you can enjoy some locally caught fish from a choice of quaint cafes and restaurants dotted along the harbour whilst your pup refuels at the water bowls provided. Beyond the harbour wall, treat your four-pawed pal to 3 miles of glorious golden sand at Porthleven Beach (less than 0.5 miles), and when the tide is out, walk together to Loe Bar and the Penrose Estate from the granite pier of the harbour.
