Get away from it all in this Cornish retreat, just 1 mile from Land’s End. Sleeping six guests and one furry chum, the property is perfect for large families and groups of friends. The holiday home is set in fabulous lawned grounds, where children and woofers can play, and is close to a footpath leading to a paw-friendly beach. Enjoy day trips to Penzance, Mousehole, and Porthcurno (all within 10 miles).
The traditional granite property oozes elegance, with statement furniture and striking original features. The lounge, with its exposed trusses and stonework, is a gorgeous place to unwind after a dog walk, watching the TV/DVD and warming your toes by the wood burner. Doors lead to the spacious kitchen/diner, where you’ll find ample room for the dog beds, a dining table, and all the equipment you need to cater for the group. There are also two twin bedrooms and a handy shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs, discover a galleried double bedroom with countryside views, an en-suite shower room, and external stairs to the garden. Outside, enclosed, lawned grounds envelop the property, providing plenty of space for Fido to play. You’ll also find a patio area for dining alfresco.
A walk of less than 1 mile along a footpath will bring you to the quiet cove of Nanjizel Beach. Off the beaten track, the beach rarely gets busy, and is a great spot to switch off and recharge. Take a picnic and spend the afternoon splashing in the crystal-clear waters, marvelling at the unusual rock formations, and looking for seals off the shore. The Minack Theatre makes a great doggy day out. When there isn’t a performance, you and the pup can wander around the spectacular open-air clifftop theatre and admire the breathtaking views across Porthcurno Bay.
