Escape to the coast in this romantic bolthole for two humans and two hounds in Porthleven. The historic fishing port is full of hidden gems to sniff and explore, from fascinating art galleries to windswept coast paths. The cottage is also within easy reach of the remote landscape of the Lizard Peninsula. After a day of sightseeing, sip a glass of wine in your enclosed courtyard, or snuggle up in front of the wood burner.

The Victorian fisherman’s cottage has been lovingly renovated, carefully combining contemporary design with original features. Clean, crisp decor creates a feeling of calm throughout the property, and subtle lighting sets the mood. The inviting lounge has comfortable seating to snuggle up on to watch the Smart TV, whilst Rover and Fido doze in front of the wood burner. Stairs lead to the lower ground floor, where you’ll find a bright and airy kitchen/diner. There is also a comfortable seating area with another Smart TV. With direct access to the garden, this is a great place for the woofers to set up camp. On the first floor you’ll find a king-size bedroom along with a stylish shower room. Outside, an enclosed courtyard awaits, where the hounds can hang out and you can dine alfresco.

Head out of the property and into the heart of Porthleven. Enjoy a walk with the furballs around the bustling harbour, before finding a cosy spot in one of the traditional Cornish pubs for lunch. In the afternoon, blow away the cobwebs on Porthleven Beach (the area to the east welcomes four-legged visitors all year). Alternatively, let your waggy-tailed friends lead the way along the South West Coast Path, where you can admire the views across Praa Sands and towards Saint Michael’s Mount.

Beautiful cottage in a great location. The surroundings were beautiful and relaxing, and the cottage itself was spotless, cosy, and well equipped with everything we needed. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy a break away. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.

The harbour Inn was good too. ARead moremelies was a bit overpriced for what you get . Don't miss the brass band , they play opposite the harbour inn on Sunday evenings. They are really good. . We spent alot of time wandering around the Porthleven , it's so beautiful, stopping for coffee and ice creams . Look out for the local cat Reggie who always seems to be hanging out by the ice cream parlour . They even sell cards with his picture on . We had a wonderful stay , thank you Hide

This is the second time that we have visited The Nook and we will definitely come again. The cottage is extremely comfortable with all the equipment that we could need. It is also ideally located. It is only a few hundred metres from the harbour, but it is still very quiet
