Stay in this traditional Cornish cottage on the edge of pretty Mousehole for a holiday with your favourite humans and pets. There’s plenty of outside space, with an enclosed garden at the front where four-pawed guests can run around, as well as a small courtyard at the back. You’ll have a dog-friendly beach, pub and cafe within 0.5 miles, and when you fancy taking your pet on a longer walk you can join the scenic South West Coast Path. This property has room for four guests in two bedrooms and two dogs are welcome to come and join in the fun.
This characterful holiday home is decorated in a homely style, with splashes of colour and tasteful artwork adorning the walls. Original features like wooden ceiling beams give the place a rustic feel. The sitting room has a lovely granite fireplace housing a cosy wood burner that creates a great snoozing spot for the dogs, and there’s also a conservatory which is equally appealing for lounging. In the gorgeous kitchen, you’ll find homemade units and an ornamental range, plus an impressive staircase leading up to the welcoming bedrooms. On sunny days, you can enjoy leisurely lunches on the decked area in the garden while your pets find a shady spot to settle down.
When it’s time to venture out, hunt down the town’s Salt Ponds Beach (0.5 miles) which welcomes dogs so is ideal for letting off some steam. For a picturesque afternoon out, you can take a circular route along the coast to Newlyn (2 miles) which also has a dog-friendly beach, then head back inland through the fields. The historic port of Penzance (3 miles) is also well worth the trip.
