This charming rustic cottage offers cosy accommodation in the old mining village of Botallack, on the rugged Tin Coast in West Cornwall. You can lap up outstanding scenery with your pet during the day followed by quiet evenings spent relaxing in the garden – or in the chilly months, relax in the welcoming lounge. With space for up to three guests and one dog, this holiday home is perfect for a couple or small group planning a Cornish holiday with their pet.
The inside is decorated in a homely style with a rich colour scheme that lifts your spirits as soon as you walk in. In the open-plan living area, you’ll find dual-aspect windows, a pretty stained-glass back door, a TV and an impressive inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner – a great spot for doggie snoozes. On balmy evenings, why not sizzle up a feast on the BBQ and tuck into a fresh-air feast in the garden? Your pet can roam free in this enclosed space so you can relax with a delicious burger and a cold beer.
You’ll find plenty to do with your beloved animal nearby, with many local attractions accessible on foot from your front door. There’s a dog-friendly pub 100 metres from the property where you can enjoy a meal, and you’ll be 0.5 miles from the historic engine houses that cling to the foot of the cliffs – it’s a National Trust site that you can easily visit with your dog. If you fancy a longer walk to burn off some energy, head north along the South West Coast Path towards Pendeen Lighthouse (2.5 miles) then on to the dog-friendly Portheras Cove Beach (3 miles).
