This charming rustic cottage offers cosy accommodation in the old mining village of Botallack, on the rugged Tin Coast in West Cornwall. You can lap up outstanding scenery with your pet during the day followed by quiet evenings spent relaxing in the garden – or in the chilly months, relax in the welcoming lounge. With space for up to three guests and one dog, this holiday home is perfect for a couple or small group planning a Cornish holiday with their pet.

In the open-plan living area, you’ll find dual-aspect windows, a pretty stained-glass back door, a TV and an impressive inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner – a great spot for doggie snoozes. On balmy evenings, why not sizzle up a feast on the BBQ and tuck into a fresh-air feast in the garden? Your pet can roam free in this enclosed space so you can relax with a delicious burger and a cold beer.

You’ll find plenty to do with your beloved animal nearby, with many local attractions accessible on foot from your front door. There’s a dog-friendly pub 100 metres from the property where you can enjoy a meal, and you’ll be 0.5 miles from the historic engine houses that cling to the foot of the cliffs – it’s a National Trust site that you can easily visit with your dog. If you fancy a longer walk to burn off some energy, head north along the South West Coast Path towards Pendeen Lighthouse (2.5 miles) then on to the dog-friendly Portheras Cove Beach (3 miles).

Excellent little cottage and good value. Probably only suitable for 2 adults and a child but beds are comfy and bathroom clean and fully functional. Only warning if youre over 6 feet, the shower headroom is a bit of a challenge. The cottage is situated in a perfect area for walking, lots of walks to choose from and the buses were regular and just down the road. The Cottage was warm and the beds were very comfortable and the water was always lovely and hot. To make the stay more customer friendly the information pack needs to be kept up to date as it is way out of date, incRead moreluding the bus time table which should have been changed in September and the wi-fi codes as there were two different codes in the pack! The parking spot really is not big enough , even for a small car. My small Audi could not fit in as the back end would have stuck out into the road, on a bend! so really it should not be advertised as parking for a small car ... a Fiat 500 maybe or a Smart car would fit, nothing bigger. Very welcoming cottage, with scones and clotted cream provided for cream teas. Kitchen well stocked with pots, utensils etc. and lots of games and books for rainy days. Used the log burner a couple of times which made it nice and cozy. The beds were very comfortable and extra blankets were also supplied. Coming from a city it was great to not heaRead morer anything outside at night times so I could sleep well. The cottage is ideally located to access the SW coastal path and the Cornish mining heritage sites. It is a 30 minute walk to St Just, with lots of nice shops, cafes bars and art galleries. It is also only 2 minutes to the Queen's Arms Pub that serves very good food. Would happily stay at the cottage again. Hide
