This Grade II-listed property in the Cornish coastal resort of Porthleven enjoys an elevated position offering fantastic harbour views. During your stay, you can while away hours on the patio lapping up the incredible scenery with your pet, enjoying the gentle sea breezes and salty air as the sun goes down. With room for up to five humans and one canine guest, this historical property is ideal for a family or a group of friends.

A cosy style greets you as soon as you enter this delightful retreat, which has lovely bay windows and tasteful rustic decor. The open-plan living space has a roomy dining area, spacious seating and a TV for relaxing in the evenings. On chilly nights, light up the multi-fuel burner and let your pet pick the warmest spot to unwind. Two of the three bedrooms have spectacular views that you can admire while still in bed, and there’s a good-sized family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

There’s plenty to do with your canine pal nearby, be it wandering around Porthleven’s arty shops and galleries or having lunch at a pet-welcoming cafe. On arrival, you can take your pet to stretch her legs around Porthleven Harbour, perhaps finishing off with a ball-fetching session on the town beach (150 metres) which has a designated dog-friendly area all year round. For longer walkies, head along the South West Coast Path to Nichols Cove (1.5 miles), Trewavas Mine (2.5 miles) or Porthcew (3.5 miles) for a scenic day out your canine companion will go mutts for.

We had a perfect stay. The location was perfect to watch the boats in the harbour during the day and calm breezes and fairy lights at night. We were very lucky with the weather so we could just go down a couple of flights of steps to have a dip in the harbour. The property was clean and cosy.

The property was everything we wanted and expected, but would suggest if you are elderly beware of the amount of steps up to the property, especially when unloading or loading of the car

We loved this property for its position overlooking the harbour- spectacular! Its well looked after - well equipped and clean with a lovely welcoming vibe ( scones, biscuits milk etc!). Mary, made such a difference to our stay and was very attentive to our needs, providing bits and pieces for our grandchild and this was greatly appreciated.

A fantastic location in the beautiful Porthleven. Sadly our trip for New Year was spoiled by my daughters allergies being set off by the properties cleanliness. The levels of dust, cobwebs and dog hair found all over the house is something unacceptable in a holiday cottage. The heating system was hit and miss with only a couple of radiators workingRead more. Thankfully the owner had left some storage heaters which were used to combat the cold weather. The property does not supply towels so make sure you pack your own. Getting to the property is only safe for the fit and agile with access via steep wobbly steps is an accident waiting to happen if youre not careful. That said, the views are incredible once on the front patio. The beds were very comfortable and the location is perfect for wonderful views and access to the towns eateries. Hide

Views from sitting room and two bedrooms are amazing. Comfortable cottage. Please note no bathroom towels provided which wasnt clear on details. Log fire not currently working which was disappointing as came with logs and was looking forward to this.

4th time in as many years we have been to this cottage, great location, Great views, We always have Cornish cake or scones, and cornish teabags for the arrival, left by the lady who prepares the cottage for the people.

Very happy with the location of the property. Very idyllic setting. Much room for improvement with the overall cleanliness of the property and potential damp issue in bedroom wardrobe though.

We had the best week in Harbour Lights right on the harbour in gorgeous Porthleven. In January the sea can be wild and the view is amazing from this property and especially from the patio where we drank our morning coffee. Its very cozy with the log burner an extra winter treat though the central heating is very effective so we didnt need it muchRead more. The cottage has everything we needed and some special touches like a cream tea on arrival. Beds are comfy and you can hear the waves. We have already booked for next year. We had a fantastic stay at this cottage over Christmas. Nicely decorated for the festive season. The real fire was an added bonus, and kept the downstairs living room nice and toasty! One thing to note is the kitchen isn't very big, with only a small counter top freezer, but otherwise has everything you might need to cook up a fab meal!
