This delightful Cornish bolthole is on the outskirts of St Merryn, 0.5 miles from the village centre. The bright and airy retreat welcomes four guests, and is perfect for couples and small families, with a sociable, open-plan layout and enclosed courtyard garden for the woofers. As well as being within easy reach of some of Cornwall’s finest paw-friendly beaches, you’ll also be near woof-welcoming attractions such as Lappa Valley (16 miles) and Tintagel Castle (23 miles).
The stylish holiday home is bathed in natural light, and each room has a subtle coastal theme, reminding you of your fabulous surroundings. Leave sandy shoes and dog-walking gear in the hallway, before heading through to the spacious kitchen/diner, where you can rustle up tasty feasts using local ingredients and dine together at the farmhouse-style dining table. The separate lounge boasts beautiful wooden floors, a Smart TV, and a collection of sumptuous seating to sink into at the end of the day. In summer, open the patio doors to let the hounds amble in and out to the garden. Upstairs, two tastefully decorated bedrooms await, along with a contemporary shower room. Outside, dine alfresco in the attractive courtyard garden. This space is a real suntrap and is fully enclosed for your canine pals. Private parking is available for one car.
The vibrant harbour town of Padstow is just 3 miles away, and is famous for its fabulous array of independent eateries (many of which welcome waggy-tailed diners). After a spot of lunch, potter around the cute boutiques and galleries or stretch your legs with a jaunt along the South West Coast Path. Another lovely day out is the picture-postcard fishing village of Port Isaac (17 miles) – a paradise for keen photographers, with its narrow, winding streets, whitewashed cottages, and idyllic harbour.
