Located on a working farm less than a mile from the coast, this detached cottage is spot-on for a getaway with family, friends and two four-pawed pals. Interiors full of farmhouse-style charm are complemented by a fabulous garden and playing field.
Deep-set windows, wooden floors, exposed beams and a feature stone wall set the scene for a companionable holiday. Within the light and airy open-plan living space is a cosy lounge area complete with comfortable sofas and TV; beyond, a rustic dining suite complements the country-style kitchen where there’s plenty of space for chef duties to be shared. All the self-catering essentials are to hand, and there’s a utility/cloakroom close by for additional convenience. Two pretty bedrooms – one a double, the other a twin – promise peaceful nights and, together with a family bathroom, complete the ground-floor layout. Upstairs, a gallery-style bedroom overlooks the kitchen area – with sloping ceilings and three single beds, this is a great bolthole for children. Your entire pack will love the outside space here; at the rear of the cottage there’s a private lawned area with a picnic bench, and to the front is another seating area where you can soak up the far-reaching views. An adjacent property can be booked for a bigger group getaway – a large, central garden shared by all three has seating and a BBQ, and leads onto playing field that’s ideal for ball games.
For stunning seaside walks, join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path less than half a mile from your doorstep. The lifeboat stations at St Justinians are a must-see, and there’s a fabulous little dog-friendly beach at Porthselau, 2 miles along the coast. St Davids, Britain’s smallest city, is just a mile from your holiday home – shoppers and food lovers are spoilt for choice here, and the ancient cathedral is well worth a visit; dogs are welcome in the grounds.
