A chocolate box stone cottage steeped in over 200 years of history and set in the tranquil Welsh countryside. This charming hideaway is a wonderful escape for nature lovers and their four-legged companion. Furry explorers can ball-chase and wave-crash to their little heart’s content on the stretch of shingly shoreline at Aberaeron Beach (7 miles), before drying soggy paws in the leafy garden oasis while the humans soak in the open air jacuzzi, or cooking up a feast on the gas BBQ, or enjoying the warmth of the fire pit. After an exciting day hiking through the beautiful Welsh hills or playing on the nearby beaches of Aberaeron and New Quay, our cosy cottage with a woodburner is the ideal spot to unwind.
This traditional property is brimming with cottage charm featuring exposed brickwork, wooden beams, woodburner and low ceilings. Grab a towel then release your sandy-pawed pup from his harness before venturing into the lounge peppered with antique-style touches. Kick up weary feet on the sofa and sip a well-earned drink with the help of your waggy-tailed assistant. Rustle up a simple supper in the galley-style kitchen then perch at the dining table and toast to your special occasion with a sparkling tipple. Blessed with an extra mucky pack? There is a handy utility space for freshening up any outdoor gear. Retire to the two inviting bedrooms, consisting of a ground-floor double and a first-floor twin – each with plenty of cosy nooks for a plush dog bed. Embrace balmy summer afternoons lounging in the lush, enclosed garden with an abundance of wildlife and fragrant scents for your curious canine to sniff out.
Situated deep in the Ceredigion countryside, discover the perfect getaway for you and your furry companions! This property boasts plenty of opportunities to dine and engage in fun activities for the whole family. Visit the nearby local pub, Rhos yr Hafod, for a refreshing drink after a day of exploration. Head to the Moody Cow Farm Shop & Welsh Bistro, where your kids can enjoy the play barn or the new, exciting indoor trampoline park and assault course. Don’t miss out on Aberaeron a 20 minute drive towards the coast, a charming locale filled with dog-friendly restaurants, cafes, and pubs, ensuring that everyone in the family, including your beloved pets, can enjoy a delightful day out. Take a walk along the Wales Coast Path whilst admiring the glistening sea, or get on a boat and spot some friendly bottlenose dolphins. Head inland and you'll come to the historic market town of Tregaron which is a gateway to the Cambrian Mountains. All amenities are available here too, and instead of a walk along the coast, you can take a walk along parts of the River Brennig which flows right through the town. A visit to the Tregaron Red Kite Centre and Museum is a must, and if you'd like to see the Red Kites, head up to Cors Caron Nature Reserve. Other great places to visit that the whole family will enjoy include Llanerchaeron, near Aberaeron - a magnificent Georgian Villa with a walled garden, a farmyard and wildlife to spot, Fantasy Farm Park near Llanrhystud or you can visit beaches such as the one in Llanrhystud, Llanon or New Quay to name just a few that are situated along the beautiful Cardigan Bay. The location will certainly suit everyone.
