A beautiful stone property surrounded by vibrant potted plants in an idyllic farmland setting within the Brecon Beacons National Park. This rural hideaway is a wonderful space for groups of outdoor enthusiasts and an honorary furry family member. Venture deep into the countryside and admire water tumbling upon moss-covered rocks on the Four Waterfalls Walk in Ystradfellte (14 miles), before gearing up for high-stakes lawn games in the sprawling garden.

This inviting rural cottage features a considered interior with exposed brick feature walls, traditional stable doors, and a sophisticated neutral colour palette. Ease out of hiking boots and towel off muddy paws then step into the airy lounge. Sink onto the cosy armchairs with a post-adventure brew and debrief on the day''s activities while your snoozy pup curls up in front of the roaring wood burner. In warmer months, prop open the patio doors and bask in the balmy summer breeze. Step down into the farmhouse-style kitchen and rope in budding chefs to assist with food prep. With the scent of supper drifting in the air, gather around the wooden dining table for an evening of festivities. Upstairs, sniff out the two well-presented bedrooms, consisting of a spacious king and a family room containing a king and an additional double. After morning walkies, perch on the patio with a coffee or start the day with an invigorating soak in the outdoor hot tub. There is also a shared games room for any competitive members of the pack.

Curious hounds will be in their element scampering through the tranquil country trails and alongside the glistening water edge of the Cray Reservoir (4 miles). Gear up for an adrenaline-fuelled bike through the emerald valleys from Sennybridge (10 miles), or descend into the mysterious caverns at the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (8 miles).

Cottage was lovely but the conflicting/ nonsensical instructions are really confusing. Keri was very friendly and helpful.
