This wonderful property, situated just 10 miles from Aberystwyth, is perfect for families or groups of friends - including the canine ones, of course! Sleeping six across four peaceful bedrooms and with space for up to two dogs to relax, this cosy cottage has stunning views across the Dyfi Estuary and is the ideal place for some peace and quiet. Its rural location won’t stop you from getting out and exploring, however - Borth Beach (9 miles) welcomes pups on a section all year round, and you can join the Wales Coast Path at Tre’r-ddol for walkies just 3.5 miles from your front door.

The cottage, which boasts some wonderful original features including wood floors and exposed beams, has a welcoming blend of the traditional and contemporary. The kitchen diner is fresh and bright with a dining table overlooking the garden; peaceful, warm tones in the lounge invite you to curl up on the sofa in front of the wood burner in the evening, your pups snoozing by your feet. While away summer evenings in the garden by sizzling up a BBQ while the children play football, then enjoy a soak in the hot tub looking out towards the sea and hills.

Set off on a journey through the rugged countryside on the Vale of Rheidol Railway (9.5 miles) where the dogs can get their own ticket! If you’d prefer to stay on foot, explore The Silver Mountain Experience (16 miles) with guided tours of their silver lead mine and actor-led Welsh fantasy and myth shows. Ynyslas Beach (7 miles) is perfect for dog walking and is ideal for wind and kite surfers, so make sure you bring your gear!

Fantastic views and lovely hot tub (very remote and quiet) but very tired property. We found the cleanliness to be of a very poor quality. Bathroom/shower over the bath is in dire need of attention as is the rest of the property with peeling paint and missing plaster. Beds were very comfortable but the dust and cobwebs were really unacceptableRead more. Fantastic walks straight from the door. Owner was extremely helpful when the hot tub ceased to work and sorted the problem within a day. Hide

We had a fantastic holiday here. Having arrived in a storm, we found the woodburner and range lit for us so the cottage was cosy and welcoming as the power was temporarily down. Margaret and Enoch couldnt have done more to help us ..making special trips to the local shop for bottled water and supplying candles and torches and lots of logs. The poweRead morer was quickly restored and the rest of our stay was without incidence. The house is spacious with comfy bedrooms, all with lovely views. The hot tub was amazing. Perfect on a freezing night to sit and watch the stars. The local area is very beautiful and the beach at Borth was nearby. Considering we stayed in November we were lucky with the weather. I would definitely recommend this stay, excellent value for money, friendly and helpful hosts and a really beautiful location. I would love to come againand as a previous reviewer said, one of those homes you want to live in forever. Hide

Drive up to the cottage was a challenge due to steep, narrow and winding roads, but views once there were lovely.

Cottage has a good location however the property is tired and in need of improvement to the bathroom and cooking equipment. The property requires a deep clean and safe patio furniture. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. Weve spoken to the owner and the issue has now been resolved.
